Nike Ltd. is an American Sportswear company with head office in Beaverton, Oregon. Bill Bowerman founded it in 1964. It was in 1966 when they opened their first retail store, and in 1972 launched the Nike brand shoe. In 1978, the company later changed its name to was Nike, Inc., and two years later, it went public.

The introduction
The company which has become Nike was founded in 1964. It was in 1966 when they opened their first retail store. The business initially acted as the U.S. distributor for running shoes manufactured by Onitsuka Tiger (aka Asics), a Japanese firm.

However, for now, Converse, Jordan, and Hurley International are among the giant Nike’s most significant subsidiaries.
